TOO OLD TO GOTH?.....WHAT DO YOU THINK AT DANGEROUSFX?

I was scrolling through some forums this week where in addition to the emo vs goth debate, there were some posters exclaiming that if you're over 21, you're too old to goth?

Well now, here at Dangerousfx our years are advancing it's true, but our Gothic spirit is still firmly in place! There are times, if the hour is right, the lycra is smoothed and the red lipstick is fixed you can see us off down Oxford Road in Manchester on our way to Jillys/Rockworld - all curvy & giggly. Wearing a variation of Long black Morticia skirts, Victorian Bustles, Steampunk Jackets, Satin Blouses, Lolita skirts & Long Leather Gloves (not all at once though....that would be just silly)

Heads turn, eyes pop, mutters can be heard - and that's probably because we've gone down on the bus! - Another 80's habit we can't break.

When we get to the club our minds are cleared of everyday events, troubles and duties, we can swish away to all our favourite vintage and retro tunes, The Cure, Siouxie, Soft Cell...you get the idea. We're surrounded by loads of young Steampunk, Gothic & Burlesque looking fab folks who are also in the vibe. Strutting their stuff there are older girls & boys who are certainly shortly to be queing for their pension if they haven't got it already. Everybody's having a good time - isn't that what counts?

So ok, our black makeup might have run, our feet are killing but noooooooooo you're never to old to Goth!

I`m 50 and I get on my long swishy skirt and corset top and I don`t feel out of place when I go out in Nottingham at all.
